Electrochemical Society, 197th Meeting, Toronto, Canada -- Dr. McBrearty gave an invited talk on composition and viscosity measurements in the Symposium on Polymer Manufacturing Process Sensors organized by Drs. Ed Stokes of General Electric, Tony Bur of NIST and David Kranbuehl of College of William and Mary.

ANTEC 2000, Orlando FL -- At the annual technical conference of the Society of Plastics Engineers, CEP exhibited 45 mm and 12 mm diameter Proceptor dielectric analyzers and for the first time exhibited a working prototype of the Rheoceptor squeezing flow viscometer. Dr. McBrearty gave two technical talks. The first, written in collaboration with Dr. Safwat Tadros, discussed the Rheoceptor squeezing flow viscometer and was presented on Monday in the Applied Rheology session. The second talk, on dielectric analysis in polymers and written with Dr. Tony Bur of NIST, was presented in the Extrusion Division session on Wednesday and received the Maro SPE Award for best paper of the day.

CEP receives a second round of financial support from the Delaware Innovation Fund (DIF). DIF's mission is to foster growth in Delaware's industry by providing funding, assistance and management advice.
